Chalsa is around 20kms from the resort the place and it is one of the most famous places in dooars. The scenic beauty of the lush green forests is the highlight of Chalsa. Murti

Murti is famous for its serene ambiance and pictorial views. Even during the late 20th century, the area was heavily forested and infested with wildlife and dacoits due to which only a few people would dare to cross the forest after dark. And the road from Murti crossing over Chapramari forests reaches National Highway at a junction that is still called “Khunia” crossing. As the year passed wildlife grew in this region whereas the dacoits slowly started to fade away.

Gorumara National Park

GORUMARA NATIONAL PARK, was once a reserve forest since 1885, further was declared a wildlife sanctuary in the year 1949 and was again declared a National park on 31st JAN 1994. Physically, the park is located in the flood plain of western Dooars, in the district of Jalpaiguri and in the state of West Bengal and surely comes within the picturesque Eastern Himalaya. It’s a watershed area in-between Ganges and Brahmaputra River, touching CHAPRAMARI WILDLIFE RESERVE, NEORA VALLEY NATIONAL PARK and JALDAPARA NATIONAL PARK.

Lava

Lava is a small hamlet town about 33km away from Kalimpong and is surrounded by pine forests and is often engulfed in mists and clouds. It is situated at an altitude of 2,350 meters. The village hosts a beautiful monastery of Bhutanese origin and a Nature Interpretation Centre. This place is popular amongst nature explorers and is renowned for bird watching. It is also the starting point for treks into the Neora Valley National Park, which abounds with floral and faunal wealth.

Rocky Island

Sited along the bank of meandering river Murti amidst the verdant emerald green woodland of Dooars region is a picturesque destination called Rocky Island. Located 82km from Siliguri, Rocky Island is a new found destination which is endowed with abundance of natural rock hence the name Rocky Island. Suntalekhola

Suntaleykhola, also known as Santalgola, is a small, calm, and beautiful village in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal, India, known for its natural beauty, trekking routes, and being a gateway to the Neora Valley National Park.

Metli view point

Located 60km from Jalpaiguri at the foothills of Eastern Himalayas is a place called Meteli, known for the lush tea garden Meteli, an old township at the Jalpaiguri District. Visitors from around the globe are attracted towards Meteli because of its unique location between the meadows of lush tea garden which offers some of the most pictorial views.

Malbazar Hanuman Temple

Hanuman Mandir Malbazar: Well, we all know the narrative of Ramayana. The epic explicitly defines the notable role of mighty Hanuman in king Rama’s victory over Ravana. The greatest Brahmachari, Hanuman is also regarded as one of the Chiranjivi (amongst 7 immortals in Hinduism). He, aka Bajranbali was an ardent devotee of Rama. Born in Benaras, he is mentioned as the son of wind-god Pawan.

Coronation Bridge

The Bagrakote Loop Bridge

Bengal’s first loop bridge is currently in Bagrakote, a region within the Dooars of Jalpaiguri district. The bridge, part of a significant infrastructure project along National Highway 10, is attracting large numbers of tourists daily due to its unique design and stunning hilltop views. Since the start of the New Year, the bridge has become a major attraction for visitors hoping to capture photographs and selfies, even though construction work is still in progress.

Rishop

The virgin spot with rows of pines and rhododendrons triggers the beauty of Rishop. It is a small village in the districts of Kalimpong in West Bengal is one of the major attractions. There are myths associated with this name. “Ri” stands for mountain peak and “shop” means decade old trees. The majestic view of the snow-capped Kanchenjunga is viewed from this evergreen village. It is 2591 meters around high from the sea level.

Kalimpong

Kalimpong is a hilltop town located at the east of river Teesta. This sleepy little town is situated at an altitude of 1,200 mtrs, some 50 kms to the east of Darjeeling. Because of its location at a relatively lower altitude, the weather is milder and pleasant throughout the year. This place is an ideal location for the tourists looking for a comfortable stay sheltered from the harsh cold winds and with a picturesque view of the Kanchenjunga and other Himalayan snow peaks.

Sittong

Sittong is an area located under the Kurseong sub-division within the Darjeeling district of West Bengal. Sittong is not just one village. It is a cluster of many villages under one name; such as Shelpu, Lanku, Rolak, Jogighat, Latpanchar and many more. Nestled in the lush greenery of the Eastern Himalayas, Sittong is renowned for it’s tea gardens, orange orchards and scenic landscapes. The best time to visit Sittong would be during the winter season (November-February) to watch the oranges bloom at it’s fullest.

3 bigha corridor

The Tin Bigha Corridor is a strip of Indian land in West Bengal, leased to Bangladesh, allowing access to the Dahagram-Angarpota enclaves from the mainland. It’s a 178-meter-long, 85-meter-wide corridor located on the West Bengal-Bangladesh border.

jalpesh mandir

Jalpesh Mandir is a famous temple of North Bengal located near Jalpaiguri town. The 350-year-old temple of Lord Shiva was founded by Sri Bisu Singh, the father of Coochbehars king Maharaja Narayan who later repaired it. It was then reconstructed by the erstwhile King of Coochbehar, Shri Prananarayan in the year 1663. During the monsoon month (Hindu calendar month of Shravan), thousands of pilgrims from North Bengal and around flock to Jalpesh Mandir for puja, chanting ‘Bholey Bom’. During this time a large fair is organized around the temple complex.

Gajoldoba

Gajoldoba is in the western south of the Himalayan foothills, between the Mahananda River to the west and the Teesta River to the east. Gajoldoba is still an unknown destination for many tourists and a mega tourism project promise to turn Gajoldoba into a hot tourist destination in the near future.

Kolakham

Perched on a hill at an altitude of 6100ft overlooking the mighty Eastern Himalayas is a quaint village Kolakham. Cuddled beside the Neora Valley National Park around 8km from Lava and 38km from Kalimpong, Kolakham has lured many travelers since it gives them a chance to observe the wildlife in its pristine form at an enthralling altitude and witness the glory of the majestic Mt Kanchenjunga with their naked eyes. The National Park with its dense forests is located on the tri-junction of Bhutan, Sikkim and West-Bengal.

Gorubathan

Gorubathan is a small town in the Kalimpong Subdivision of Darjeeling District. The place is about 90 km from Kalimpong town (via Lava) and about 59 km from Siliguri. The place is also called Sombare among locals out there. It is situated on the east bank of the Neora and Chel River, both the rivers valley are called as picnic spot. Local children out there used to go for swimming in Chel River during summer season; it is also famous for its beautiful landscape of the Neora River, hilly alpine forests and Tea garden. The Gorubathan town is renowned for its natural beauty.

Papar Kheti

Delo

It is one of the two hills that the town of Kalimpong stands between. Kalimpong is situated on a ridge connecting the two hills, Durpin and Deolo. The hill is 1,704 metres (5,590 feet) and is the highest point of Kalimpong town. The hill is located north east of the town. Three water reservoirs, two of which serve as the primary drinking water source to the town are present atop this hill. The town of Kalimpong, the surrounding villages of Relli valley, Teesta River and its valleys all can be viewed from this point.
